The 2007 Fulton County Relay for Life will be held Friday, June 1 at Greyhound Stadium in Salem.
"We would like to extend a personal invitation to everyone that's been touched by cancer to come out and support our effort," said Linda Gregg, one of the organizers of the event.
A Survivor's Walk will kick-off the Relay at 6 p.m. followed by the introduction of the 12 Relay for Life teams. A supper, sponsored by Body Works of Salem will be served to the survivors following the opening introductions.
"If you are a cancer survivor, please come be our guest of honor at the supper,"?Gregg said.
Billy Joe French and Friends will provide music throughout the evening.
"The 12 teams have been raising money by selling chances on a quilt and a picture that have been donated by friends," Gregg said. "Chances will still be available at the Relay and the drawing will be held at 9 p.m. right before the luminary service. "This is a very special time when we honor and remember those we loved who have been touched by cancer," Gregg said. Luminaries are $5 and can be purchased at the Relay before the service.
"There will be a silent auction, entertainment, food and games throughout the evening, so bring the family and help us fight for a cure," Gregg said.
