Jerry Bogle, 72, of Cherokee Village, Ark. died April 21, 2007. He was born Nov. 28, 1934, in Lyons, Kan., the son of Eugene Leroy Bogle and Wynona Mae (Blough) Bogle.
He was a carpenter by trade. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Jerry was a Navy SeeBee. He served from 1954 until 1975 and was in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He moved to Cherokee Village five years ago from West Plains, Mo., where he lived for 25 years. He was a member of the Highland Hills Baptist Church in Highland. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the VFW and the American Legion.
He loved golf, exercise, fishing and was an avid bowler.
Survivors include: one son, and his wife, John Wayne Bogle (Amber Lynn) of Bone Gap, Ill.; one daughter, and her husband, Joanna Rachel Patillo (Chris) of West Plains; four brothers, Robert Bogle of Chino Hills, Calif., Lester Bogle of Cherokee Village, Leonard Bogle of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Ronald Bogle of Springfield, Mo.; two sisters, Shirley King of Gilbert, La., and Peggy Barlow of McKittrick, Calif.; four grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Richard Bogle and Paul Bogle.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date by the family.
Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
