Travis Adams of Salem has been inducted into Theta Alpha Kappa, the National Honor Society for Religious Studies/Theology. Adams was also inducted into the Alpha Delta Omicron chapter of the society at Williams Baptist College during the Christian Ministries Banquet held April 24.
Travis has also been selected for the 2007 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
College faculty and editors of the directory select students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
Students selected for membership in Theta Alpha Kappa must be of high academic standing and rank in the top 35 percent of their class. The society requires that inductees have completed 12 semester hours of upper level religion courses, obtain a 3.5 grade point average in these courses, and carry an overall grade point average of at least 3.0.
He is the son of Dennis and Donna Adams of Melbourne. Adams is a junior at Williams Baptist College, majoring in Christian ministries.
Williams Baptist College is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge.
