Steele receives recognition

Kayla Nichole Steele of Fifty Six, Ark., has been recognized for academic achievement by the United States Achievement Academy as a United States National Honor Student award winner. She will appear in the USAA's official yearbook, which is published nationally. She also received a national English honors award and was named to Who's Who Among American High School Students.

Steele is the daughter of Billy and Lisa Steele of Fifty Six. Her grandparents are Mary Mitchell of Fifty Six and the late Hershel Branscum and Jesse Steele of Viola and the late Inez Steele.

She will graduate with honors from Mountain View High School and has been accepted to the University of Arkansas, where she plans to major in biology.
