Dorothy Arlene Collins, 78, of Demopolis, Ala., died April 27, 2007. She was born Aug. 27, 1928, in Fulton County, Ark., the daughter of the late Arnold and Thelma Major of Mammoth Spring, Ark.

She was united in marriage to Clifford Collins on July 11, 1978.

She was a lifelong member of the Elks Lodge and held several positions as a member.

Survivors include: one son, Travis Burnham and wife, Linda of Demopolis, Ala.; one step-daughter, Catherine Butler and husband Charles of Salem, Ark.; two step-sons, Jerry Collins and wife Carolyn of McKinney, Texas, and Gerald Collins and wife Daphene of ?Mobile, Ala.; one grandson, Andy Burnham of Boca Ratan, Fla.; one granddaughter, Heidi Sims and husband Todd of Russellville, Ark.; three great-grandsons, Colby, Tanner and Grayson Sims; step-grandchildren, Dianne Butler of Conway, Ark., Rebecca Koelling and husband Lyle of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., Amy Rucker and husband Bryan of Salem, Kenny Collins and wife Diane of Garland, Texas, Scott Collins and wife Sarah of ?Moody, Texas, Sheri Hussey and husband Dewayne of Mobile, Ala., and Laura Jo Cobb and husband Joel of ?Mobile; step-great-grandchildren, Hunter Boles, Kali Koelling, Taylor Noakes, Coby Noakes, Grant Rucker, Nelson Bowen, Tanner Bowen, Grace Collins, Ashley Collins, Cara Hussey; four sisters, Pauline Harper of Mesquite Texas, Faye Broadwater of Hardy, Ark., Betty Kirbs of Spokane, Wash.; Barbara Green of Thayer, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents?Arnold and Thelma Major; both her husbands Wilford Burnham and Clifford Collins; a sister, Carol Lee Manes; and a brother, Raye Major.

Kidd Robbins Funeral Director of Demopolis, Ala., was in charge of funeral arrangements.

A memorial service was held at the First Prebyterian Chuch in Demopolis, Ala., with Tommy Carr officiating.
