Albert S. Konter, 72, of Viola, son of the late Roman Konter and Rose Konsala Konter, was born June 15, 1934, in Montana, Wis. He died April 7, 2007, at Hospice House of the Ozarks in Mountain Home.
He was united in marriage to Kathleen Napientek on May 23, 1970, at Milwaukee, Wis. During his early working years, he was a road construction worker. He later became an automobile technician and was employed by various dealerships retiring from Pap Beardsley 10 years ago. He spent seven years in the army ?National Guard in Wisconsin. He was a member of the Trinity EV Lutheran Church in Mountain Home.
Survivors include: his wife Kathleen of the family home in Viola; his children, Bernard (Ben)?Konter and wife Wendy of Viola and John Konter and wife April of Stuttgart, Germany; granddaughter, Kristie Potter and husband Joel of Milwaukee, Wis.; great-granddaughter Lydia Rose Potter; sisters and brothers, Delores Laehn and husband Eldon of Mesa, Ariz., Evelyn Baker of Greendale, Wis., Ray Konter and wife Pat of Fountain City, Wis., and Bernadette Duellman and husband Elmer of Fountain City; his other children, Vitus and Kenneth Konter; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lonny?Konter; and his father and mother.
Funeral services were held April 10 at Cox-Blevins Funeral Home Chapel in Salem. Burial followed in Flint Springs Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
