Helen Rose Jenkins Hall Denton, 98, was born Nov. 12, 1908, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bailey Jenkins at Couch, Mo. She was married to Larry Hall in 1922, and they had one child, Damon, born in 1924.
She worked as a housewife and homemaker for most of her life and then became chief cook for an Oklahoma School District. She was known for her fishing prowess, desserts and famous for her sugar cookies. She married George Denton in Oklahoma after the death of her first husband.
She is preceded in death by her first and second husbands; her mother at her birth; her father; step-mother; brothers; sisters; and all aunts and uncles.
Survivors are her son, Damon and wife Joyce of Cahokia, Ill.; granddaughter, Kathy and husband Paul of Bixby, Okla.; grandson Tim Turner, and wife Katherine, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; nephews, Dee Hall of Broken Arrow, Lee Hall of Couch, and Vic Hall of Dove Creek, Colo.; nieces, Dorcas Lowry of Dove Creek , Phyllis George of Branson, Mo., Ann Smith of Sherwood, Ark., and Lenora Neely Of Dove Creek.
Services were held at Bixby Memorial Center on Feb. 22.
