William C. Shilvock, age 79, of Myrtle was born Jan. 15, 1927, in Chicago, Ill.
He died on Dec. 24, 2006, at his home.
Shilvock was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army.
He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed fishing and squirrel hunting.
Survivors include: one son, Billy and wife Pat Shilvock of Saddle, one daughter, Marcia and Bill Mayse of Sunnyvale, Texas; four sisters, Gertrude Friman of West Plains, Mo., Pearl Cypert of Kansas City, Louise Presnel of Myrtle and Edith Martin of Santon, Calif.; one brother; Louie Shilvock of Thayer, six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Shilvock and Ella Iwan-Shilvock; one son, Mike and Carol Croy, of Jonesboro, and three brothers, Herbert Shilvock of Thayer, Manuel Shilvock of Denver, Colo., and Johnny Shilvock of Crystal Lake/Chicago.
Graveside services were held on Dec. 27 in the Jeff Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Mammoth Spring.
