Dorothy Vivian Franks, daughter of the late David Ray and Edith (Simpson) Cunningham, was born on Nov. 29, 1921, at Camp, Ark.
She departed this life on Feb. 2, 2007, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, at the age of 85.
She was united in marriage to Troy Eugene Franks on Feb. 5, 1949, at Salem and to this union, five children were born.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She worked as a tower person and assistant dispatcher for the Arkansas Forestry Department. She was a member of the Salem Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include three sons, Winford Franks of Salem, Troy Franks (Tonya) of Salem, and Tommy Franks (Tenna) of Salem; a daughter, Priscilla Paul (Larry) of Salem; eleven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a daughter, Vivian Adams and a granddaughter, Anastasia Fogger.
The funeral services were held Feb. 4 at the Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem with Bro. Carl Neal officiating. Interment followed in the Camp Cemetery in Camp, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of the Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Ark.
Pallbearers were Danny Rowsey, Leonard Clements Paul Foster, Don Tate, Benny Banning and Mark Phillips.
Memorials are preferred to the Paragould Children's Home.
