Howard Parsley, age 90, of Cave City died Dec. 19, 2006, at the Cave City Nursing Home.
He was born Oct. 28, 1916, in Poughkeepsie, Ark.
He was the son of the late John Parsley and Olar Norris Parsley.
He was a farmer and a construction worker for many years.
He was in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving at the Battle of the Bulge.
Survivors include two brothers, Ralph Parsley of Cave City and Joe T. Parsley of Wichita, Kan.; one sister, Mabel Parsley of Cave City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willard Parsley and Jack Parsley and one sister, Oshea Johnson.
The funeral services were held on Dec. 21 at the Roller-Crouch-McGee Chapel in Cave City with Carl Cates officiating. Burial followed at Lebanon Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
The funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers included Darrell Parsley Dean Parsley, Gregory Parsley, Ralph Parsley Jr., Bill VanWinkle and Loran Parsley.
