Jackie Dean Romine was born May 22, 1951, in Salem, Ark., the son of Everett Romine and Deloris Frisbee Romine.
He died Jan. 21, 2007, in West Plains, Mo., at the age of 55.
He was united in marriage Sept. 14, 1969, in Thayer to Jennie Thornton.
He was a heavy equipment operator and was employed by Garnett Wood Products before becoming disabled.
He was a member of Thayer Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Jennie, of the home in Thayer; five children, Misty Brazel and husband, Gregory of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Thomas Romine of Thayer, Jacqueline Dover and husband David of Olive Branch, Ill., Kimberly Romine of Cape Girardeau and Jason Romine and wife Kristina of Thayer; seven grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard Frisbee.
The funeral serices were held Jan. 24 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer with Erman Croney officiating. Burial followed in the Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Spring. Services were under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
Pallbearers were Larry Brickell, Paul Sloan, Walter Phipps, Charles "Bub" Smith, Brian Blankenship and Robert Hutchman.
