Idella (Huskey) Crabtree Matlock, age 97, of Dermott, formerly of Cave City, was born Aug. 8, 1909, at Tuckerman, Ark., the daughter of the late George Thomas and Lena Frances Huskey. She died Jan. 22, 2007, at the Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village.
She retired having worked for over 40 years from the Arkansas School System and was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Flora Crabtree of Atkins, and Ralph and Fran Crabtree of Spring Hill, Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Denny Dennington Sr. of Dermott; one sister, Ozella McGinnis of Walnut Ridge; one stepson, Paul Matlock; four stepdaughters, Kay Winters, Barb Matheny, Jo Milligan and Donna Taylor; nine grandchildren, Carla Kirk, Sherry Henson, Denny Dennington Jr., Don Crabtree, Lana Neumeier, Stephanie Coke, Brad Crabtree, Katrina Farris and Robert Crabtree; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bernard Ray Crabtree; her second husband, Lacy C. Andrews; and her third husband, Winslow Matlock; a son, Carl Crabtree; two brothers; two sisters; and two grandchildren.
The funeral services were held Jan. 27 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Howard Brewer and Keith Kirk officiating. Burial followed in the Ward Cemetery at Strawberry with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Denny Dennington Jr. Robert Crabtree, Don Crabtree, Brad Crabtree, Wayne Kerstin and Keith Kirk.
Honorary pallbearers were Rick Coke and Ed Neumeier.
