Aimee Rose of Mammoth Spring, a senior at Arkansas State University, has been named to the 2007 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
Rose is majoring in English education in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at ASU.
Dr. Rick Stripling, vice chancellor for student affairs, along with deans of the various colleges, recognized the award winners during a ceremony Nov. 27 in the Student Union.
Among Rose's many activities and achievements at ASU she is a recipient of the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship and has recently been on the president's and dean's lists. Rose is a member of the Student Activities Board, the Student Government Association and Phi Eta Sigma.
Her parents are Robert and Virginia Rose of Mammoth Spring.
An ASU nominating committee and editors of the Who's Who directory selected 90 outstanding students for the 2007 edition.
The award is based on academic achievement, university and community service, and leadership. The annual directory, published since 1934, honors outstanding students at more than 1,800 institutions in the United States and other countries.
