Wanda Sue Wiles, of Williford, died Nov. 3, 2006.
She was born on the family home place in Williford on July 3, 1939, the daughter of the late Cay and Estelle Cruse Bettis.
She was a painter and published poet, having penned "A Tapestry of Thoughts which appeared in the National Library of Poetry in 1996.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard Wiles of the home; two daughters, Linda Lentjes and husband Curtis of Femandina Beach, Fla., and Debra Poole and husband Charles of Grayson, La.; three brothers, Buel Bettis and wife Ruth Ann of Cherokee Village, Floyd Bettis of Avon, Ind., and L.C. Bettis and wife Vickie of Williford; a grandson, Michael Lentjes and fiance' Tabitha Copeland of Jonesboro, Ark.; two granddaughters, Angela Boyles and husband David of Grayson, La., and Lori Lentjes of Femandina, Fla.; a great-granddaughter, Peyton Alexis Boyles of Grayson, La.; a special friend, Paden Neely of Lewisville, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cay and Estelle Cruse Bettis and a brother, Bob Bettis.
The funeral services were held Nov. 7 at the Tri-County Funeral Home in Highland, with Rev. Floyd Rikard officiating.
Burial followed in the Bettis Family Cemetery in Williford with arrangements under the direction of the Tri-County Funeral Home in Highland.
Pallbearers were Charles Poole, Jimmy Yates, Greg Gann, Joey Sheets, Roy Lowe and Robert Honeycutt.
Honorary pallbearers were grandsons Michael Lentjes and David Boyles.
