Florence Rutledge Sellers was born Sept. 28, 1917 in Myrtle, Mo., the daughter of the late Thomas Rutledge and Octavia Sisk Rutledge.
She died Feb. 8, 2007, in West Plains, Mo., at the age of 89.
She was united in marriage in 1934, in Fulton County, Ark., to Cloyd Sellers, who preceded her in death in 1977.
Besides being a devoted homemaker, she was employed by Chastain Nursing Home for 12 years.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Mammoth Spring, Ark.
Survivors include six children, Harold Sellers and wife, Wanda of Mammoth Spring, Mary Clausing of Raytown, Mo., Margaret Sanders and husband, Ralph of New Palastine, Ind., Barbara "Bobby" Russell and husband, Glen of Thayer, Glenda Root and husband, Dan of Leawood, Kan., and Carl Sellers of Thayer; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren nine great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Rutledge of Napa Valley, Calif.; many nieces and nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Troy and Sherman Sellers; one great-grandson, Mark Sellers, Jr.; two brothers, Louis and John Rutledge; four sisters, Minnie, Stella, Ruby Jewel and Leta; and one infant sister, Dolly.
Graveside services for Florence Sellers were held on Feb. 12 at the Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Spring with Bro. Paul Brewer officiating.
Funeral services were made under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
