Henry Floyd Wooldridge, age 89, died Sept. 23, 2006, in Ash Flat. He was born the son of Kie and Mayme Johnson Wooldridge on Nov. 7, 1916, in Thayer, Mo.
He was united in marriage in 1935 in West Plains, Mo., to Opal Marie Harper who preceded him in death Jan. 6, 2005.
Survivors include two daughters, Vivian Jo Howes and Judith Ann Wooldridge; one granddaughter, Mary Rebman and husband Dennis; three great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Clarissa and Michael Rebman; and other relatives and friends.
Wooldridge worked over 30 years for Arkansas-Missouri Power Company (now Entergy) and its subsidiary, Associated Natural Gas. During his career, he was local manager at Hayti, Mo., district manager with Associated in Sikeston, Mo., and superintendent of gas operations in the general offices in Blytheville, Ark. After retirement, he lived in Blytheville and Springfield, Tenn., before moving to Eaglecrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ash Flat in 2004.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services were held Sept. 27 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Rev. Richard Robinson officiating. Burial was in the Thayer Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.
