Cleburn Hastings, 65, of Sandtown died Aug. 27, 2006, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
He was born Jan. 16, 1941, at Sandtown, to Laman Alvis and Margaret Juanita (Lesley) Hastings.
He was retired from White Rodgers in Batesville and was a member of the Pool's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church at Sandtown.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Hastings of the home; two sons, Cleburn Hastings Jr. "CJ" of Las Vegas, Nev., and Tommy Baker of Lonoke, Ark.; three daughters, Bernita James of Cave City, Lanita Wasson of Little Rock, and Laura Baker Mansfield of Locust Grove, Ark.; four brothers, Rayburn Hastings of Donaldson, Ark., Charles Hastings and Jimmy Dale Hastings, both of Sandtown, and Billy Darrell Hastings of Sulphur Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Clyda Hastings Keller of Sandtown, and Dawana Hollomon of Conway; 10 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services were held Aug. 29 at First Assembly of God Church in Cave City with Bro. Bobby Sanders and Bro. J.W. Roach officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Literacy Council.
