Bulls contract extended

MYRTLE -- The Couch School Board voted to extend superintendent Tom Bulls contract for the 2008-2009 school year at their regular board meeting Jan. 14.

Bull informed the board of the progress being made on the air conditioning project in the school gym. The board gave Bull the authority to proceed with plans for the project.

The board received copies of the Missouri School Board Association policy updates and were asked to look them over and be ready to approve the updates at the February board meeting.

The board voted to approve a senior trip to Florida, providing the funding is available for the trip.

The superintendent informed board members that the school had received the Distinction in Performance Award and that the school met all 14 required areas on the annual report card.

Bulls presented school board members with training certificates as well as certificates of recognition for their service in observance of Missouri School Board Recognition week. He commended the board for their dedication to the school district.
