Nellie Mae Lindsey

Nellie Mae Lindsey, 86, of Cherokee Village, Ark., died May 7, 2007, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark. She was born April 9, 1921, in Beggs, Okla., the daughter of the late Lewis Thomas Davenport and Beulah (Woods) Davenport.
She moved to the Hardy area 68 years ago with her family.
She worked through the years at the Piggly Wiggly and at the school cafeteria.
She loved bowling and had won many trophies through the years with her bowling league. She also loved fishing and hunting. She attended services when possible at the Spring River Baptist Church.
She is survived by: her son, Rayburn Lewis Lindsey of Hardy; her daughter, Doris Widener of Cherokee Village; one brother, Billy Davenport of Hardy; four sisters, Wilma Treat of Searcy, Evelyn Jones of Coweta, Okla., Thelma Garner of Hardy and Dorothy Rodgers of Hardy; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral services were held on May 11 at the Tri-County Funeral Home in Highland with Bro. Floyd Rikard officiating.
Burial followed in the Highland Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
