Mother, child injured

BIRCH TREE -- A Thomasville woman and her infant son were injured in a crash Sept. 5 in Birch Tree.

According to Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kimberly Washington, 28, and David Washington were injured at 11:49 a.m. on U.S. 60 at Highway 99.

Trooper L.S. Elliot said that Washington was driving a 1995 Plymouth when she failed to yield the right-of-way and drove into the path of a 1992 Chevrolet driven by Emanuel Earwood, 77, of Willard.

David Washington was taken by air ambulance to St. John's Hospital in Springfield, and Kimberly Washington was taken by a local ambulance to St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View.
