Mary Lou Brison of Viola, daughter of the late James Olen and Jodie Lou (Ozbirn) Rosier, was born Feb. 18, 1924, in Salem. She died Nov. 23, 2006, at the North Arkansas Life Care Center in Horseshoe Bend at the age of 82.
She was united in marriage to Horace Brison on July 4, 1939, at Viola. She was a homemaker and a member of the Viola Baptist Church.
She is survived by: a son, Jerry Brison and wife Valerie of Newtown, Pa.; a daughter, Barbara Painter and husband Fredis of Viola; five grandchildren, Neesha Barker, Leesha Kincade, Vance Brison, Kim Moore and Jerry Brison Jr.; five great-grandchildren, Jace Kincade, Lindsey Barker, Leslie Barker, Gabriel Brison and Adalane Brison; two sisters, Mae Reasons of West Plains, Mo., and Oneta Oliver and husband Frank of Viola; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Bob D. Brison; a grandson, Marty Painter; a brother, D.B. Rosier; and a sister, Pauline Wood.
Funeral services were held Nov. 25 at the Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment was in the Flint Springs Cemetery in Viola under the direction of Barker Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Ray Barker, Jim Sullivan, Vance Brison, Toby Brison, Gabriel Brison, Jace Kincade, Mickey Oliver and Eddy Oliver.
Memorials preferred to the North Arkansas Life Care Center in Horseshoe Bend.
