Joe Bill Little

Joe Bill Little, 66, of Alton died at his home on Oct. 18, 2006.
He was born in Alton on April 12, 1940, the son of Clyde Little and Hazel Moore Little. He graduated from Alton High School in 1958 and served his country in the U.S. Army from 1963-64.
On April 13, 1968, Little married Alma Myrtle Orr. After two years, they moved to their current farm home outside of Alton, where they raised their sons, Eric and Jason. In addition to his family life, Joe enjoyed farming, gardening and woodworking. He was a member and Deacon of Macedonia Baptist Church for 25 years. He worked as the manager of Empire Gas of Alton.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle; two sons, Eric Joseph Little and Charles Jason Little of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Jack Little and wife Sandra of Georgetown, Texas; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Hazel (Moore) Little; a sister, Rosemary Little.
Services were held Oct. 21 at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Alton with Bro. Tommy Boyd and Bro. Joby Steele officiating, with interment following in the Elm Pond Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton.
