Geraldine Rawlings, 80, of Cave City died Aug. 21, 2006, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville.
She was born April 9, 1926, at Floral, Ark., the daughter of the late Commie A. and Mamie L. (Sandefur) Nicholson. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Tabor Methodist Church at Cave City.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Rawlings of Cave City; one brother, Shelby Nicholson of Michigan; two sisters, Arveta Deen of Florida, Una Dell Venable of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Jodie Bristow of Fulton, Ill., and Teresa Franks of Cushman; one great-granddaughter, Sheina Tubbs of Batesville; and two great-great-grandchildren, Trinity Tubbs and Tyler Tubbs, both of Batesville; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Odis Rawlings; four brothers, Orville Nicholson, Jake Nicholson, Buck Nicholson and Aubrey Nicholson; three sisters, Colleen Ledbetter, Agnes Rawlings and Juanita Kemp; and a great-great-grandson, Joshua Garrison.
Funeral services were held Aug. 24 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Grayden Milligan officiating. Burial followed in the Ball Cemetery located at Cave City with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Bob Vichkon, Richard Caruthis, Clayton, Caruthis, Larry Wilson, Rodney Barnett, Mitch Ives and Michael Ives
Honorary pallbearers were Jodie Bristow, Dr. Ron Bates and staff and Dr. Rick VanGrouw and staff.
