New faces have join the administration staff at Izard County Consolidated Schools this year.
Monte McCurley has been hired as the new middle school principal. He also serves as the federal programs coordinator and the transportation director. McCurley grew up at Oxford and graduated from ICC. He comes to ICC from Lyon College where he was a member of the college's athletic department.
John Walker has been hired as the elementary school principal. Walker replaces Debbie Moody who retired after serving 16 years at the Violet Hill campus. Walker is also an ICC graduate and grew up at Brockwell. Walker comes to ICC from Viola where he served as principal for three years.
Billy McBride also works closely with the administrative staff serving as curriculum specialist for grades 7-12. He is also the girls' basketball coach. He has been employed as an ICC teacher for five years and has a bachelor's and master's degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
Coach David Harmon isn't a new face at ICC, just a busy one. He serves as the high school principal, athletic director, head boys' basketball coach and head baseball coach.
