The 14th Annual First Security Bank/Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament is set for June 3-4 at Big Creek Golf and Country Club in Mountain Home. Proceeds this year will benefit the Women's Health Education Center of Baxter Regional Medical Center.
A shotgun start is set for 7:30 a.m. with 1:30 p.m. tee times. The tournament is limited to the first 88 teams and to non-professional golfers. Flights are determined by computer. The entry fee for the three-person scramble tournament is $390 per team.
Golfers can enjoy a complimentary lunch sponsored by Sodexho and dinner sponsored by Professional Credit Management on Saturday and brunch sponsored by CenturyTel on Sunday.
Saturday's hole-in-one grand prize is a Hawaii golf package consisting of accommodations for four including air fare, hotel and $2,000 cash.
The Women's Health Education Center offers services, programs, classes and support groups specific to women's health issues.
"We are pleased to sponsor an event that will benefit such a good cause," said Larry Nelson, CEO of First Security Bank. "The Women's Health Education Center is helping women in the community find resources to deal with their own health issues and concerns."
"It is exciting to see women being helped by the programs we offer here: the Girls Night Out events, the Lunch and Learn sessions, the support groups," said WHEC Coordinator Angi Flippin.
"The funds raised by events such as the golf tournament will allow us to continue providing these programs and to offer additional services as needs in the community are identified," said Josee Schliemann, WHEC supporter and Advisory Board member.
Entry forms for the tournament are available at the Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation or online at www.baxterregional.org. For more information, call 508-1779.
