OREGON COUNTY -- The Koshkonong and Mammoth Spring Christmas parades will be this Saturday.
The Koshkonong Christmas parade will get under way at 10:30 a.m. The theme for this year's parade is "Christmas Angels."
Parade lineup will be at 9:30 a.m. at the rear of the school next to the bus barn. Parade officials ask those in the parade to line up to enter school property at the north entrance across from Z Highway.
Parade officials said cash prizes will be presented to the best religious float, best secular float, best classic car, best horse and wagon/buggy, and best decorated horse/horse club. All categories that receive a "best" award will receive $100.
The winner of the Koshkonong Christmas baby contest will be announced immediately following the parade. The contest will end Dec. 8.
The parade is sponsored by the Koshkonong Senior Citizens Center. Santa will be at the parade and will give away goodie bags following the parade.
The Mammoth Spring Christmas parade will also be Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. Parade lineup is at 9:30 a.m. at the Mammoth Spring City Park.
Anyone who would like to enter a float, car, wagon, horse, band or marching band is invited to participate.
