Jewell "Judy" Lankford, 81, of Hardy died Nov. 20, 2006, in Gainesville, Fla. She was the widow of Sid Lankford, who died in December of 2003.
A memorial service will be held at the columbarium in the Arkansas Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock at a later date.
Lankford was a Christian and member of the Hardy United Methodist Church. She was active in UMW as well as several other organizations: TOPS AR 163, Hardy (KOPS); Order of the Eastern Star; Hardy Extension Homemakers Club; and Widows Support Group. She was also a volunteer worker and active supporter of the North Sharp County Ministerial Alliance Food Room in Hardy and Heifer Project International. Previously, she had been a member of the American Red Cross Disaster Response Services team.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Joe Giudice of High Springs, Fla.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
