Thomas Collins

Thomas Andrew Collins Jr., 81, son of the late Thomas Andrew Collins and Minnie Ann Wore Collins, was born at Agnos, Ark., Aug. 10, 1926. He died May 17, 2008, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

He was married to Elaine Bearden at Agnos on June 29, 1947, and they have four children. He was a member of Salem Masonic Lodge  No. 418 for more than 50 years, a member of the church of Christ and served honorably in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include: his wife, Elaine; three sons, Steve, Jim and Les; one daughter, Diann; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral service were held at Agnos Church of Christ May 21 with interment following in the adjacent cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home of Pocahontas, Ark.
