Laura Marie Wilkening, 77, of Salem, Ark., daughter, of the late Fred Lee and Cora Belle (Fuller) Butler, was born Aug. 20, 1930, at Koshkonong, Mo. She died May 14, 2008, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark.

She was united in marriage to Lanis Wallace Wilkening on Jan. 10, 1962, at Salem, Ark. She was a homemaker and farmer and was a member of the Camp Church of Christ.

She is survived by: her sister, Vera Graham and husband, Curly of San Jose, Calif.; several nieces; nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her husband; her parents; four brothers, Joseph Butler, Harold "Pete" Butler, Robert Butler and Fredrick Butler; and two sisters, Bessie Malone and Wilma Bussell.

Funeral services were held May 20, at the Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Ark., with Bro. Eugene Bussell officiating. Interment followed in the Sturgeon Cemetery at Mammoth Spring, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of the Barker Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Otis Butler, Albert Hobbs, Gaylon White, Jerald Hodges, Joey York and Steve Barker.
