Donovan R. "Donny" Landers, 48, of Batesville, Ark., died May 24, 2008, at a Little Rock hospital. He was born Nov. 14, 1959, at Batesville, the son of Naman R. and Ina Mae (Williams) Landers.
He had worked for Kroger in Batesville for 31 years. He was a member of the Desha First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Ivy (Ring) Landers; and one son, Joshua Landers, both of the home; his mother, Ina Mae Landers of Batesville; one sister, Debbie Shipman of Yellville; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his father; and an infant daughter, Carisa Marie Landers.
Funeral services were held May 28 at the Desha First Baptist Church located in Desha with Bro. Troy Sharp officiating. Burial followed in the Cave City Cemetery in Cave City, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Sellers, Dale Simpson, Frankie Lee, Commie Loggains, John Ed Smith, Tony Carter and Jason Cordell.
Honorary pallbearers were the employees of Kroger in Batesville and Dr. Bob Slaughter and staff.
