Jerry Wayne Honeycutt was born Nov. 4, 1948, in Raven-den, Ark., the son of Wesley Honeycutt and Erma Case Honeycutt. He died May 28, 2008, in Springfield, Mo. at the age of 59. He was united in marriage July 2, 1966, at Thayer, Mo., to Linda Kay Branscum. He was united in marriage May 16, 1991, at Bentonville, Ark., to Virginia Reece Thomas.
Jerry was a masonry contractor by trade and was a skilled rock and brick mason. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Mammoth Spring.
He is survived by: his wife, Virginia Honeycutt of the family home in Mammoth Spring, Ark.; three sons, Steve Honeycutt of Ravenden Springs, Ark., Joe Honeycutt and wife, Brenda of Avoca, Ark., and Mike Honeycutt and wife, Jill of Myrtle, Mo.; three step-children, Debra Helms and husband, John of Bentonville, Ark., Terry Thomas and wife, Lynette of Wilmington, N.C., and Dale Thomas of Mammoth Spring, Ark.; 11 grandsons; his mother, Erma Honeycutt of Myrtle, Mo.; Mo.; four brothers, Larry Honeycutt and wife, Glenda of Myrtle, John Honeycutt and wife, Shirley, of Harrisburg, Ark.; Ron Honeycutt and wife, Sandy of Myrtle, and Lon Honeycutt and wife, Mellanie of Huntsville, Ark.; three sisters, Sherry Wells and husband, Doug of Myrtle, Donna Honeycutt of Myrtle and Delores Chance and husband, Larry of West Plains, Mo.; his father-in-law, Leonard Reece of Bentonville, Ark.; a special uncle, Charles Case and wife, Clara Jo of West Plains, Mo.; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Wes Honeycutt; his mother-in-law, Idell Reece; and step-mother-in-law, Shorty Reece.
Funeral services were held May 31 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Mo., with Bro. Rick Brothers officiating. Burial was in the Jeff Cemetery near Thayer with arrangements under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
