Anna Elizabeth Whiteside was born March 2, 1912, at Koshkonong, Mo., the daughter of the late John S. Pressley and Mary Renneker Pressley. She died June 9, 2008, at Kaufman, Texas, at the age of 96.
She was united in marriage Dec. 22, 1927, in Koshkonong, Mo., to Luther J. Whiteside, who preceded her in death Jan. 4, 1997.
She was a life long resident of Koshkonong and a member of the Shiloh Grand Gulf Church near Thayer, Mo. As of late, she was living in Kaufman, Texas, with her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Cleo Langle and attended Kaufman County Christian Church.
She is survived by: three sons, Louis Whiteside of Koshkonong, Mo., Roy Whiteside of Dallas, Texas, and Gary Whiteside and wife, Debbie of Little Elm, Texas; one daughter, Mary Langle and husband, Cleo, of Kaufman, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ray and Daisy May Whiteside of Thayer, Mo.; numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, John and Mary Pressley; her husband, Luther Whiteside; one infant son; one granddaughter, Elaine Langle; three brothers; four sisters; and two daughters-in-law, Frances Whiteside and Norma Whiteside.
Graveside services were held on June 16 at the Shiloh Grand Gulf Cemetery near Thayer, Mo., with Rev. Dennis Williams officiating. Arrange-ments were conducted under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
