It may have been a success with the performers that were in the show as mentioned in the June 18-24 Villager, but where was the Wilburn Brothers' music? It was more like a tribute to Hank Williams, Sr.
My family and several other lifetime Hardy residents agree. The first show in 2007, was a good tribute to the right group. If you want to continue to have a large crowd for this tribute, I would suggest to have the Wilburn Brothers' music performed as the opening act. I know the Wilburn Family would appreciate it more.
I agree it is good to have our local talent to perform also, because we are blessed to have talented groups like Billy Joe French Band and Denise Gibbons.
