Christopher Trey Hill, 19, of Quail Run Apartments in Melbourne was arrested June 9 on felony theft of property warrant. The warrant stems from the disappearance of some $1,700 from the Pizza Inn of Melbourne. Hill was an employee of Pizza Inn at the time of the disappearance. Hill was released from the Izard County Detention Facility after making bond arrangements in the amount of $5,000. Hill is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court to answer this class "B" felony charge.
Following an incident on Highland Street in Calico Rock the night of June 11, numerous felony and misdemeanor charges have been filed against a Calico Rock man. Felony charges include theft of property (automobile), a class "B" felony along with felony fleeing -- two counts, each class "D" felonies, were brought against Christopher S. Padelford, 39, on which he is being held in lieu of $50,000. Padelford was also charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, driving on a suspended license, refusing to submit to a chemical test, and fleeing on foot. Bond on the misdemeanor charges has been set at $5,480. Padelford remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.
A fuel drive-off compliant has resulted in the arrest of a Melbourne man on theft of property charges -- two counts, each a class "A" misdemeanor. Dustin M. Baird was arrested June 13 following a fuel drive-off at Hawg's Country Store in Melbourne. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that fuel drive-offs are classified as the highest of misdemeanor charges and is punishable by a $1,000 fine, a year in the county jail, or both. Lawrence said the department would continue to aggressively pursue gas drive-off complaints. Baird remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $2,210.
A drug related charge was brought against Edward L. Paul, 30, of Batesville. Paul was arrested June 14 on the charge of possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication. Paul posted bond in the amount of $1,435 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
In another drug related arrest, Paul Anthony Jenkins, 42, of Salem was arrested June 14 on the charges of possession of an instrument of crime, speeding and driving on a suspended licnese. Jenkins later posted bond in the amount of $2,415 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Public intoxication charges were brought against Michael William Kulczycki, 24, of Melbourne. Kulczycki was later released from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting bond in the amount of $205.
In another alcohol related arrest, Jacob Michael Smith, 26, of Glencoe was jailed June 13 on the charge of public intoxication. Smith was later released from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting a $205 bond.
Michael Linn Cox, 19, of Calico Rock was arrested June 13 on charges of public intoxication and minor in possession of alcohol. Cox remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.
A Guion man was arrested June 13 and charged with public intoxication and minor in possession of alcohol. Austin Lee Burrow, 18, was released from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting bond in the amount of $810.
Matthew Aaron Simmons, 28, of Oxford was arrested June 11 on a Fulton County misdemeanor warrant and for driving on a suspend license. Simmons posted a $785 bond and was released to Fulton County authorities.
Belinda Mae Kennedy, 33, of Calico Rock was arrested June 10 on a contempt of court warrant and is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility.
