Katharine Campbell McCloy Hoffman, 61, of Mammoth Spring, Ark., died June 17, 2008, from complications due to a prolonged illness. She was born on Aug. 5, 1946, and raised in Memphis, Tenn., where she attended the Hutchison School and later Stephens College in Columbia, Mo.
Katharine is survived by: her husband, Thomas R. Hoffman; her son, Greare Sutherland of Memphis, Tenn.; two daughters, Marianne McKellar Sutherland of Louisville, Ky., and Leslie Virginia Graves of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Dr. Randolph McCloy and Stuart McCloy Jr. both of Memphis, Tenn.; and one sister; Elsie McCloy Doggrell of Koshkon-ong, Mo.; two granddaughters, Faith McKellar Tauberschmidt and Alex Campbell Tauber-schmidt; and four step-children, John Thomas Hoffman, Hunter Parks Hoffman, Cameron Ann Hoffman and Lauren Elizabeth Hoffman.
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Elsie McKellar McCloy and her father, Wallace McCloy Sr.
Memorial services were held June 20 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Mo., and June 21, in the Church of Holy Communion at Memphis, Tenn. Arrangements were under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer, Mo.
