DONATION: Fountain Place/Bolt Clasic Tournament Chairman Oral Henderson receives a $500 sponsor check from Ash Flat Wal-Mart manager Mike Alexander.
Several slots are still available for the 2008 Fountain Place Tommy Bolt Classic scheduled for June 28 on the links of the championship Cherokee Village South Course.

Event organizers have announced that, as in prior years, a waiting list has been established since some sponsors may not be able to field their teams at the last minute.

Teams that are intending to play are urged to complete and send in their entry/ registration forms immediately.

Forms are still available by contacting David Webb at the Cherokee Village Golf Shop at 257-5555, Fountain Place at 257-2000, Oral Henderson at 257-2452, or by logging on to www.FountainPlace.us.

Fountain Place, a Christian retirement center is located in Cherokee Village, and is honored to recognize the tournament's patron of five years, local resident and World Golf Hall of Fame member Tommy Bolt.

Again, this year, it is intended this living golf legend will pose for a collector's picture with each foursome playing in the event.

However, since Bolt is in poor health and has only recently returned home from a stay in a local rehabilitation center, pictures may be taken without him.

A silent auction table will be set up, reflecting an unusual variety of golf-orientated items.

Bids will be accepted from the public as well as team players, with minimum bids reflected on all silent auction items.

In addition to the silent auction items, various other assorted golf prizes valued between $10 and $50 will be raffled off to those in attendance.
