Shirley Ann Cook Lovelett of Salem, daughter of the late John Lewis and Anna Tyree Lewis, was born Oct. 11, 1944, in Lake City, Ark. She died June 17, 2008, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, at the age of 63.
She was united in married to Kenneth Cook in 1962. He preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: her life partner, Rodney Lovelett of the family home; her children, Anthony L. Cook and wife, Chita of Crown Point, Ind., Sandra Cook of Salem, Sue and Becky Cook of Fenton, Mich., and Ken Cook and wife, Patricia of Jonesboro; step-children, Rodney Lovelett Jr. and wife, Debbie of British Columbia, Canada, John Lovelett and wife, Dawn of Tallomook, Oregon, Bill Lovelett of Lincoln, Ill., and Carol Sue Lovelett of Jonesboro; two sisters, Barbara Shipman and husband, Jim of Salem, and Betty Hughes of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Sherri Shafer, Timothy Phillip Shafer Jr., Cory Cook, Brent Cook, Abigail Cook, Brandi, Linzi and Dakota Trygstad Cook and Libbey Cook; step-grandchildren, Jacklyn and David Lovelett; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her first husband; two brothers Ricky Tyree and Johnny Lewis; one sister, Lori Foust; a grandson, Charles Leon Cook; and her father and mother.
Funeral services were held on June 20 at Cox-Blevins Chapel in Salem, Ark., with burial following at the Monette Cemetery in Monette, Ark. The funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem, Ark.
