Mildred E. Kennemur was born the daughter of Monroe Ostrander and Hilda Stevenson Ostrander on July 5, 1918, in Flint, Mich., and died June 9, 2008, in West Plains, Mo., at the age of 89.
She was united in marriage Oct. 2, 1940, in Flint, Mich., to James Kennemur, who preceded her in death Jan. 29, 1984.
She was a homemaker and along with her husband, owned and operated a full service gas station in Koshkonong for over 50 years.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Monroe and Hilda Ostrander; her husband, James Kennemur; one brother, Henry Ostrander; and two sisters, Deltah Pettitt and Elizabeth Blankenship.
Funeral services were held June 12 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Mo., with Rev. Raymond Pettitt officiating. Burial was in the Koshkonong Cemetery at Koshkonong with arrangements under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
