Patsy Alice Tyner of Agnos, daughter of the late Clarence J. Ashton and Winifred McCulloch Ashton, was born Dec. 20, 1908, in Whichita Falls, Texas. She died June 26, 2008, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark., at the age of 99.
She was united in marriage to Marvin Louis Tyner who preceded her in death. She was owner and operator of a country general store in Paragould for many years and was employed by a shirt factory in Paragould. She was a member of the Church of Christ and attended services at Agnos.
Survivors include: her children, Marvin Lloyd Tyner and wife, Linda Gayle of Longview, Texas, Gary Louis Tyner of Agnos and Melinda Kay Beavers and husband, Jim of Farmington; her brother, Harold Ashton of Woodhaven, Miss.; her grandchildren, Marla Gaye Murray, Sarah Elizabeth Elder, Hannah Michelle Beavers and Tala Jade Tyner; great-grandchildren, Courtney Murray and Zachary Murray; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Mabel Mason and Ruth Foster; one brother, Oliver Ashton; and her father and mother.
Services were held June 30, at the Agnos Church of Christ with burial at Agnos Cemetery under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
