Shelby Vearin Warren

Shelby Vearin Warren, 81, of Raytown, Mo., son of the late Henry Shelby and late Alta Warren was born Feb. 9, 1927, in Salem, Ark. He died June 19, 2008.

He was united in marriage to Ruby Mildred Watkins on June 12, 1948. He was a machinist (tool and die maker) for Progressive Mfg. Company for over 35 years retiring July 9, 1992. He continued to do contract work for Plastics Sales from 1992 to 2008. He was a member of the Grandview Church of Christ.

He is survived by: a daughter, Betty Darlene Warren of Raytown, Mo.; a son, Billy Leon Warren of Raytown, Mo.; two brothers, James Warren of Anderson, Mo., and Curmath Warren of Marion, Texas; two sisters, Stella Smith of Kansas City, Mo. and Virginia Warren of Kansas City, Mo.; several nieces; nephews; their families and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Ruby Warren; his parents; a brother, Duel Warren; and sisters, Nadine Warren and Joy Lee Hopper.

Graveside services were held June 24 at the Watkins Cemetery at Sturkie, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of the Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Ark.
