A Guion man and a Mountain View man were arrested Friday night at a sobriety checkpoint on West Road near Mount Pleasant. The men, Derick Clay Dayberry, 20, and Robert Lee Cochran of Mountain View remain on an investigative hold in the Izard County Detention Facility pending felony drug and related charges. Both tested positive for various illegal drugs according to Sheriff Lawrence.

Numerous individuals of Quail Run Apartments in Melbourne were arrested last week on a variety of charges. Gloria Jean Williams, 45, was arrested June 25 and charged with breaking and entering and battery third degree. Williams posted bond June 28 in the amount of $1,105 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility. Quail Run resident Michelle Daniell Chambliss, 20, was charged with theft of property. Chambliss posted bond the same day in the amount of $1,000 and was released. Stephen Dale Falk of that address was arrested June 26 on the charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Falk remains in the Izard County Detention Facility. Christina Lee Gillihan, 20, of Quail Run was arrested June 26 on the charges of theft of property, public intoxication, and possession of a controlled substance. Gillihan posted bond in the amount of $2,435 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility. Quail Run occupant Charles Henry Rawson was arrested June 25 on the charge of disorderly conduct and bond revocation. Michael Eugene Willhite, 22, was arrested June 26 and charged with contributing to the delinquency. Whillite posted bond in the amount of $1,000 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility. Sheriff Lawrence said that the department would continue to address unlawful conduct in and around the Quail Run Complex. He said he had contacted the Missouri management company that owns the complex and expressed his displeasure in the local management of the company. A meeting with the sheriff and company management is scheduled for this week.

In other sheriff's department activities, Whitney Beth Herron, 19, of Calico Rock was arrested June 28 for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Also arrested on the same charge was Jourdan Danielle Sanders, 19, of Pineville. Both posted bond in the amount of $1,105 and were released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Kellie Christine Casey, 26, of Salem was arrested June 24 on charges which included possessing an instrument of crime, possessing a controlled substance, and driving while intoxicated. Casey posted bond the following day in the amount of $3,390 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Dale Eugene Hughes, 47, of Calico Rock was arrested June 29 on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Hughes remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.
