Robert E. "Bob" Bryan, 80, of Cherokee Village, Ark., died July 2, 2008, at his residence. He was born March 9, 1928, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Wilbur and Josephine (Nurenburg) Bryan.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was united in marriage to Geraldine Cooper in January of 1954 in St. Louis. He worked for many years for the Western Electric Company before retirement. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America in St. Louis. He belonged to the Kiwanis Club and the Elks Lodge while living in Cherokee Village. He also attended the St. Michael's Catholic Church.
He is survived by: his wife, Geraldine Bryan of the home, three daughters, Barbara Thompson of Florissant, Mo., Terry Ann Bryan of St. Louis and Corina Lane of Loveland, Colo.; three sisters, Joyce Murphy of Florida, Sharon Hoskison of Oklahoma, and Jackie Strini of Missouri; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held July 5 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Cherokee Village with Pastor Brian Pummill officiating. Interment followed in the Peace Lutheran Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Ark.
