A driver claims wet pavement caused his one-vehicle wreck July 10 near the Hardy truck route.
James Mark Ford, 39, of Jonesboro was driving a 2000 Ford pickup hauling a trailer loaded with a Bobcat south on the Highway 63 truck route around 11:40 a.m. when he lost control of the pickup and trailer causing the trailer to jack knife into the side of the pickup.
The truck and trailer then slid across the intersection of Highway 62/412 B and down the embankment near the railroad tracks and the Spring River before coming to rest.
A witness saw the wreck and called police from a cell phone. Ford was not injured in the wreck and did not seek medical treatment at the scene. The truck and trailer, owned by Williams Equipment Supply Inc. of Jonesboro, were towed from the scene.
Ford was cited with careless and prohibitive driving.
