Combine a scramble with a one best ball and it's called a shamble. That's the game Ralph Neill set up at the South Course on July 8. The shamble requires each golfer to play his own ball on the par-3 holes. On the par-4 holes, each member drives and then plays his own ball from the one best drive. On the par-5 holes, the best drive is selected, followed by the best second shot from which each team member then plays his own ball to the cup. The best ball for each hole counts for the 18-hole total. Winners for the day were:

FIRST FLIGHT

1st: B. Berger, L. Parten, R. Bryson, C. McMahon

2nd: V. Bowers, B. Murphy, C. Garrett, B. Staneck
