Loyce "Kewpie" Aleen Scott, 86, was born Dec. 31, 1921, in Dove Creek, Colo., the daughter of the late Elvis Madison Thomasson and Elsie Trimble Thomasson. She died Aug. 3, 2008, at her home in Mammoth Spring, Ark.
She was united in marriage on Oct. 6, 1947, at Mammoth Spring, Ark., to Clifford Scott.
Mrs. Scott was a riveter, working for an airplane factory during World War II.
She was later employed by Franz Foods, working as a payroll clerk for many years and also worked for Baxter Lab in Mountain Home, Ark.
She was co-owner and bookkeeper for Scott's Trucking and Scotty's Cleaners in Thayer for many years. She was also a taxi driver for Burlington Northern Railroad.
Mrs. Scott was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Thayer.
She is survived by: her husband, Clifford Scott of the home in Mammoth Spring; one son, Larry Scott and wife, Sue of Thayer, Mo.; two granddaughters, Sarah Blankenship of Thayer and Lauren Scott of Springfield, Mo.; four great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Elvis and Elsie Thomasson; one brother, Creel Thomasson; three sisters, her twin sister, Joyce "Pat" Wooldridge, Virginia Komm and Blanche Benson; and one step-son, Jack Scott.
Funeral services were held Aug. 6 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Pastor Abel Perez officiating. Burial followed in the Thayer Cemetery at Thayer, Mo., with arrangements under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
