Three churches and a radio station were broken into around 1 a.m., Aug. 4 in Highland and Cherokee Village.
KSAR radio station had some commission checks stolen. Investigating officer, Kyle Crawford said, "There was a forced entry on the side door."
Crawford said the Abundant Life Church, across the street from KSAR, has a security camera in view of the radio station. The camera captured a car at the radio station at the time the break-in occurred.
That same night, thieves broke into three churches: St. Michael's Catholic Church, Cherokee Village Baptist Church and the Assembly of God Church. According to Crawford, the churches were unlocked and the safe at St. Michael's was broken into. Crawford said he believes that thieves where trying to get collection money that was taken up on Sunday.
The thieves left laptops and other valuables at the scenes. "They just wanted money," Crawford said.
