Hunter education class slated in Mountain Home

The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will present a Hunter Education Class on Aug. 23.

The class will begin at 8 a.m. and finish at 6 p.m.

The Hunter Education course will be held at the Mountain Home Project Office at 324 West 7th Street in Mountain Home.

Parking is available at the west end of the office and just across the street from the office.

There will be a break for lunch, but it will not be provided. Successful completion of this course is required by any individual born after Dec. 31, 1968, in order to hunt in Arkansas.

The 10-hour course is designed to teach the fundamentals of safe and ethical hunting and is free of charge to the public. For further information, contact the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at 425-2700 Ext. 100 or the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission at 425-7577.
