Ottie Mae Neal, 97, of Cave City, Ark., died Aug. 11, 2008, at the Cave City Nursing Home in Cave City. She was born Feb. 12, 1911, at New Albany, Kan., the daughter of Authur T. and Maggie (Crain) Wright.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God in Cave City. She served as a missionary in the Kentucky Mountains during the 1930s and pioneered a church in Henderson, Ky. She was also a founding member of the Harvest Church in Tulsa, Okla.

Survivors include: one son, Donald Neal of Sulphur Springs, Texas; three daughters, Sue Shockey of Quitman, Texas, Barbara Hastings of Sandtown and Donna Johnson of Davao City, Philippines; one sister, Leona Benigas of Shinnstown, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Robert Neal; two brothers, Authur Wright, and Carl Wright; and three sisters, Corine Townsend, Mary Townsend and Leta Poteet.

Funeral services were held Aug. 13 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Graveside services were held Aug. 15 at the Forest Park Cemetery in Greenville, Texas, with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ladies Missionary Council at First Assembly of God in Cave City, Ark.
