Thomas Gerald "T.G." Tuggle, 81, of Cave City, Ark., died Aug. 18, 2008, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born Nov. 3, 1926, at Emery, Ark., the son of Carlie and Elsie (Mobley) Tuggle.
He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II, a farmer and a member of the Rings Chapel Missionary Baptist Church located at Emery.
Survivors include: his wife of 62 years, Christine (Lindley) Tuggle; three sons, Jerry Tuggle of Kilburn La., Tommy Tuggle and wife, Karen of Mound City, Kan., and Randall Tuggle of Lake Village, Ark.; two daughters, Kathy Livingston and husband Bobby of Lake Village, Ark., and Christy Rotton of Cave City; three brothers, R.H. Tuggle and wife Joann of Portland, Ark., Bobby Tuggle and wife Ruth of Evening Shade, and Donald Tuggle of Pocahontas; three sisters, Sylvia Breeden and husband Bill of Licking, Mo., Carlene Waddell and husband Hal of Florissant, Mo. and Francis Hughes of Licking, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Ginger Mahoney and husband Nolan, Ashley Allen and husband Jay, Nathan Tuggle, Randy Tuggle and wife Patricia, Chris Rotton, Dawn Chishenhall and husband Bryan, Rebecca Johnson and husband Andrew, Zachery Sims and Alicia Tuggle; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; one son, Ricky Tuggle; one grandson, Joseph Tuggle; and one granddaughter, Angela Rotton.
Funeral services were held Aug. 20 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Burial followed in the Parsley Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Nathan Tuggle, Randy Tuggle, Chris Rotton, Zachery Sims, Andrew Johnson and Jim Brown.
Honorary pallbearers were Justin Bell, Bobby Livingston and Jay Allen.
