Following a recent drug eradication operation, Lester Darrell Garrison, 64, of Melbourne was charged Sept. 2 in Izard County Circuit Court with four drug related felonies. Three of the charges, manufacturing of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia, are all class "C" felonies. The fourth charge of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms is classified a "Y" felony. Garrison made provisions for bond and is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on Oct. 20. Participating in the eradication effort were the Izard County Sheriff's Department, Arkansas State Police, 16th Judicial Drug Task and Drug Enforcement Administration.

In another drug related arrest, Nathaniel Allen Speak, 25, of Calico Rock was arrested Thursday on the charge of possessing an instrument of crime. Speak posted bond the following day in the amount of $1,105 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

A drug intoxication charge against Shirley Melinda Nemec, 41, of Calico Rock resulted in her Sept. 1 arrest. Nemec later posted bond in the amount of $205 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Steve Ray Martin, 44, of Pineville was arrested Sept. 4 on charges of driving left of center and driving while intoxicated. Martin posted bond the following day in the amount of $1,185 and was released with a court date from the Izard County Detention Facility.

A domestic violence call to a residence off Highway 58 toward Guion resulted in the arrest of Danny Moser of that address. The 47-year-old Moser was charged with domestic battery third degree, terroristic threatening third degree, disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental operations. Moser was released the following day from the Izard County Detention Facility and was given an Oct. 17 court date. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that alcohol was a contributing factor to the incident.

Phillip Wayne Davis, 30, of Mount Pleasant was arrested the night of Sept. 1 at a cabin off Lafferty Road near Mount Pleasant. According to the cabin's occupant, Davis forced his way into her residence and refused to leave. The occupant stated to deputies that she did not know Davis. Deputies removed Davis from a bed inside the cabin and said that Davis was clutching in his hand a large knife. Davis was charged with criminal trespass (home) and was taken to the Izard County Detention Facility. Davis later posted bond in the amount of $605 and was released with a court date

Kerri Lynn Hale, 32, of Calico Rock was arrested Sept. 4 on a violation of Arkansas Hot check law warrant. Hale posted bond the same day in the amount of $809, given a court date and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Douglass Ryder Boswell, 35, of Melbourne was arrested Sept. 5 on a failure to appear warrant. Boswell was released the following day after posting bond in the amount of $1,745
